2016 Voting 2016 - Full-Court Press...

December 15, 2015
MPA LLC is looking at those Elected in the Executive, Legislative and Judicial areas for 2016.
Highest Incarceration Rate
The city of Milwaukee and county of Milwaukee is the primary focus of regard for "who is running" for the various positions.
Given the Incarceration labels of the city of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County - the death of Dontre Hamilton and other People of Color, behavior of DAs, representation of public defenders, quick plea agreements based on quick moment of the court rather than truth, unclear orders from judges that is injurious and beyond necessity, we are especially interested in who is making the SENTENCING - "Judges".
Some benchmarks are:
  • What judges are facing as it relates to trials, evidence at trial, their understanding of the case, their experience of law, and issues of a case as presented in the court?
  • The bias and belief of officers and the DA office without proof.
  • The presentation of both the Office of the Public Defender's office and the Office of the District Attorney County.
  • The validity of evidence that comes from the Clerk's office.
  • The failure of the Chief Judge to provide due diligence when complaints are submitted.
  • The limitations and lack of understanding of the "jurors" that have not a clue and too often come with wanting to do well but are given misrepresentation of the facts, lack of facts and lack of due diligence by those responsible to providing the case (s) in a non-arbitrary fashion. Therefore, they do not do the job they are summoned to do - DUE PROCESS.
  • WE must look at backgrounds of Judges. Look at body of training. Look at the culture and background from whence they come.
Look at the appointment process and where they come from - i.e., where they live, work as an attorney, evolving from the DA office and then right in the position of judge - with the hint of depending on their past colleague - DA office - to provide the truth and believing the word of the DA without question.
We MUST do a better job in the judicial branch of government - WI Supreme Court, Appeal, Circuit level and Municipal. We definitely need to address Truth and Sentencing - 3-strikes - Marijuana and use of drugs. In the Supreme court, we must look at the scandals and how money, party-politics, and ideology is like a train wreck - yet these are the folk that are our highest office of interpretation of law for justice.
Lastly, often we see Endorsements of law enforcement groups for judges running for office. Given the culpability and wrongful behavior that is more and more brought to the public in mass against law enforcement officers - outright murder - institutional racism - continually hiding evidence (i.e., Chicago), We the People, must remind the candidates running for office, that the posting of these groups - in itself - may be a reason for NOT voting for them.
Voting Panel
Moreover, that they should be coming before the People and getting an Endorsement based on their qualifications - knowledge of laws, practices as a jurist, work in People of Color areas (majority of population in city of Milwaukee - highest population sent to prison - highest population of Enduring Concentrated Poverty), opinions in new laws and approaches.

Judges MUST be part of the SOLUTION.

Here are the candidates of Branches 5, 14, 25, 31, 34, 44 & 45. They are:
- MARY KUHHNMUENCH - Branch 5
- CHRISTOPHER FOLEY - Branch 14
- STEPHANIE ROTHSTEIN - Branch 25
- MICHEAL PHILLIPS - Branch 31
- GLENN YAMAHIRO - Branch 34
- GWEN CONNALY - Branch 44
- HANNAH DUGAN - Branch 44
- MICHELLE ACKERMAN HAVAS - Branch 45
- JEAN KIES - Branch 45

10/6/2015 Willie C. Wade

It is important to note that two (2) key dates have come and passed in CANDIDATE RANDY JONES "dedication" to his commitment to WINNING the Vote of the 7th District voters.

The 7-month outreach, APRIL - NOVEMBER, to complete the Primary list of the Milwaukee Election Commission, in spite of his serious injury is commendable and speaks to his commitment.

The two timeframes are:
  • Friday, November 13, 2015 - Announcement of completing 3000 visits to the home of Voters of the Primary vote in his district per Election Commission.
    • This announcement was given during Randy's successful MEET-N-GREET event on November 13, 2015, at Mr. J's Jazz Club, a prominent business of the 7th district.
  • Thursday, November 19, 2015, 11:41 am, Randy completed the remaining 200 visits to  the home of Voters on his list.
    • April - November 19, 2015 has been the outreach for Candidate Randy Jones to the Primary list voters.
    • Much has been learned about his voters, what they are concerned about and what they are not satisfied with.
    • During the same time, he reached out to voters in his district that were not on the list.
    • During this time, he saw firsthand conditions he will address once he is elected Alderman of the 7th District.

Legislators make decisions regarding John Doe and the GAB

Jonathan Brostoff - District 19
October 21, 2015
MADISON, WI - Today in Madison, those we send from across Wisconsin to represent the people at the state level will vote on issues that haunt us now with bad deeds.

We are pleased that Rep. Jonathan Brostoff - District 19, is on-the-job, per his recent update to his "district office".  He shared the fact that he is zooming in on the John Doe facts and the Campaign Financing facts of the GAB - Government Accountability Bureau.

To watch the proceedings, please follow the link provided below.http://www.wiseye.org/Programming/CoverageSchedule.aspx

They have been in session since the early AM of October 20, 2015 and have taken previous votes on the John Doe item already.

"I feel that the voting is riddled with bias and mischief.  They will take place to further disenfranchise the voters through hijacking and it is a traditional way of special interest, monopoly-oligopoly misuse of power.  The GOP side of the State House is busy in mischief and stacking the deck."  "It is this type of behavior and misuse of power that taxpayers frown on and it has a high-cost before-during-after investigations to get at the truth."  "Instead of addressing the issues of Misconduct that is related to John Doe Investigation, Republicans are making sure they are not held accountable and are not to be transparent in their actions while in office."

Doesn't this sound familiar?
Doesn't it sound like self-protectionist efforts?
Is this CORRUPTION.
Do you smell the John Doe Investigation of Scott Walker here?
Is this not the type of behavior of elected officials that presently have the Donald Trump mania?

Tune into Wisconsin Eye for today live streaming.

Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now
Ain't No Stoppin Us Now!
We're on the move!
Ain't No Stoppin Us Now!
We've got the groove!

There's been so many things that's held us down.
But now it looks like things are finally comin' around.
I know we've got, a long long way to go,
and where we'll end up, I don't know.
But we won't let nothin' hold us back,
we're putting our selves together,
we're polishing up our act!
If you felt we've been held down before,
I know you'll refuse to be held down anymore!

Don't you let nothing, nothing,
Stand in your way!
I want ya'll to listen, listen,
to every word I say, every word I say!

Ain't No Stoppin Us Now!

Ain't No Stoppin Us Now!
We've got the groove!

I know you know someone that has a negative vow,
and if you're trying to make it they only push you aside.
They really don't have, no where to go.
Ask them where they're going, they don't know.
But we won't let nothin' hold us back,
we're gonna put our selves together,
we're gonna polish up our act!
And if you've ever been held down before,
I know you'll refuse to be held down anymore!

Don't you let nothing, nothing,
Stand in your way!
I want ya'll to listen, listen,
to every word I say, every word I say!

Thoughts shared by candidates.
One of the prevailing thoughts discussed was the HOPE and survival of the children in Milwaukee.

Candidate John Wallace, District 9, as part of his ending remarks recited the first verse of the Greatest Love of All:
I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

Candidate Sean Muhammed, District 15, shared support for building Education in Milwaukee.  His support for Education in Milwaukee came while he was living in California.  He saw the despair given in a data report regarding the lack of achievement.  He is a Milwaukee Public School teacher and works with students.  He came to the meeting after a day as a coach.

Candidate Jackie Clark, District 2, spoke of her excitement and appreciation of the formation of MPA Candidates Caucus Network and looked forward to its support to make a difference.

Candidate Patrick Case, Mayor, a citizen from the south side, ex-staffer of Milwaukee and running for the CEO position of Milwaukee, spoke of his desire to speak with others all over Milwaukee and build a coalition to improve the conditions in Milwaukee.  The meeting allowed the exchange and he looked forward to others.

Candidate Temeka Williams, District 7, spoke of her candidacy and her focus on Homelessness.  She shared that after the meeting, she would be working overnight in a Homeless effort.

Candidate Laressa Taylor, District 2, attended the meeting to hear about what the network offered.  She brought a supporter of her candidacy and long-time friend since 6th grade.

Candidate Randy Jones, District 7, spoke of his displeasure of how quality of life and economic development is so lacking in his district and his pursuit to make immediate and specific changes.

In addition to the candidates and two supporters was Minister Bonnie Melvin - MPA CCN District 4 Strategist.

She spoke of her support of MPA CCN, the importance of training and including the heads of household of all candidates in the pursuit of winning.  The way to foster "trust" with the voters is through accountability of the candidates.

Bishop Muhammed was present to support Jackie Clark.  He spoke of the importance of the candidates, "Keeping it Real", and saying what they mean and doing the same.

The host site is owned by Ms. Nancy.
She asked the candidates how they will get their message to the voters?  How the voters will see their plan?

Mary Glass shared that this is one of main and many strategies that will be the commitment of MPA Candidates Caucus Network.

***********

MPA LLC thanks Ms. Nancy, Ms. Bonnie, the supporters of the candidates and the 8 candidates for their investment of time and ideas for the betterment of their city.
